Diana Vargas-Singh, 200-RYT, 100+ C-YRKT is a 2010 graduate of the Yoga Works Teacher training program and a 2008 graduate of the Yoga Rocks! Kids Training. Diana has been a serious student of yoga for over 12 years, first having tried yoga as a young NYC attorney needing an outlet for work-related stress. This led to studying different yoga styles at various NYC studios, traveling on yoga retreats, and incorporating the principles of yoga into her busy life to find balance. In 2007 Diana had the opportunity to combine her love of yoga and children, training to be a children’s yoga teacher - just for fun. She has specialties in Yoga for Special Needs and has taught throughout Long Island and Queens in a variety of public and private schools. In 2010 Diana became a certified 200-hour teacher through Yoga Works. Diana guides students through their practice, to discover their inner strength, their light and energy, and what yoga can mean to them. She teaches: Children’s Yoga (baby to teens), Core Flow, Gentle Flow, Hatha, Hiking Yoga, Pre & Post-Natal, Strength Flow, and Restorative Yoga. She has taught at: Oyster Bay Yoga, Bliss Studio, the Glen Cove YMCA, Yoga Nanda, Lululemon in Manhasset, and many private clients. Her adult classes run the gamut from relaxing & zen-inspiringwhere students leave in a state of bliss; to sweaty yoga workouts that build on strength and flexibility through challenging asana. Diana’s Yoga Hike classes take yoga out into nature combining the cardio of a hike with playful poses and breath work. Diana is happily married for 18+ years and has three yogi kids.
